Community Music and Performances Inc. is proud to present a series of three wonderful concerts: The Whitehorse Winter Concert Series – Sunday Serenades.

Sponsorship by Whitehorse Community Grants – Creativity allows us to offer tickets at $20 each or $45 for the series of all three concerts:

Sunday 1 June – Bob Sedergreen & Friends – A Life In Jazz 
Sunday 15 June – Pippa Wilson with Jazz Notes – Songs from the Movies
Sunday 29 June – Concordia Mandolin and Guitar Ensemble – Vivaldi, Elgar, Beatles

Venue

The location for the series of events is at the Mitcham Bowling Club – Function Room. 

There is plenty of parking and the location is full accessible.

Seating will be concert seating.

Food and drinks

Light snacks will be available to be purchased prior to the show commencing, during the interval and after the show. The Mitcham Bowling Club will open the bar for the event and drinks are very reasonably priced.

Coffee and Tea will be available for a gold coin donation.

Concert 1. Bob Sedergreen and friends – Sun 1 June 2025

Bob Sedergreen has been at the pinnacle of all aspects of Australian jazz for decades, performing with many great international artists and influencing a multitude of jazz musicians. 

We are thrilled to have Bob sharing ‘A life in jazz’ at this concert.

Bob will be sitting at the piano and he’ll be bringing along several of his friends to play with him.

Concert 2. Pippa Wilson with Jazz Notes – Sun 15 June 2025.

Enjoy an intimate afternoon with Melbourne’s First Lady of Jazz presenting ‘Songs from the movies’, a tribute to some of the best music from movies from the 1920-1960s.

Concert 3. Concordia Mandolin and Guitar Ensemble – Sun 29 June 2025

The Concordia Mandolin & Guitar Ensemble will present a wide-ranging program covering instrumental and vocal music from Vivaldi and Elgar to the Beatles.

The 20 instrumentalists play mandolins, mandolas, guitars, basses, clarinet and even accordion, led by their musical directors, Basil Hawkins and Juliette Maxwell.

And, you can meet the members from the ensemble during interval and take a closer look at the instruments.
