Maroondah Concert Series 2026


The Maroondah Concert Series 2026 features three relaxed Saturday afternoon concerts — jazz, world music and classical favourites — performed by outstanding musicians.

Each concert offers a different musical style to create a varied cultural experience in a welcoming environment.

Swing the afternoon away in the opening concert of the series, featuring The Pearly Shells.

The Pearly Shells mix their own arrangements of 40s and 50s big band music with Jump Blues, Swing Jazz, RnB, Boogie Woogie and Latin styles and play it all with the drive and enthusiasm the music demands and deserves.

Expect music by Basie, Goodman, Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, Ellington, Billie Holiday, Ella Johnson, Xavier Cugat, T-Bone Walker, and B.B. King as well as Pearly’s songs from their 8 studio albums.

From a Parisian café to Argentine tango, klezmer and Aussie bush music, Bohemian Nights brings a lively afternoon of world-inspired sounds.

Bohemian Nights are soulful and spirited, blending European and Gypsy traditions with violin, accordion and voice.

Ernie Gruner and Phil Carroll bring warmth, energy and brilliant musicality to a rich mix of klezmer, tango and European folk styles, creating an engaging and colourful afternoon of music.

Bohemian Nights was featured with great acclaim at Wyreena in 2025.

Sat 21 March 2026. Regent String Quartet

From Bach to Bacharach, Cole Porter to Bruno Mars — a string quartet that plays it all.

The four musicians of the Regent String Quartet.

Known for their wide-ranging repertoire, the Regent String Quartet presents well-loved favourites, beautifully arranged for string quartet.

From film themes and jazz standards to pop, rock and classical works, this final concert in the series offers familiar music, elegant playing and something for everyone.
